About Me

Hi, I'm Lorien Talmadge and I write In 6ixth Position to help artists creatively mind their business.  As a dancer, writer and businesswoman with over 20 years experience, I feel I have a unique perspective that can help artists overcome the challenges faced when trying to make a living based on their artistic passions.  As an artist and a businesswoman, I understand that this can be a difficult marriage of the senses.  As artists we often struggle with knowing how to put a real value on our art, how to properly represent ourselves in negotiations and make sure we are respected and well-paid for our talents.  These things were always difficult for me and I would love to help other artists learn how to effectively and artistically mind their business.  Have you experienced these things and found ways to battle the beast?  It would be great  to hear from you and hear your stories.
